Along with just being one of the best PS Plus PS5 games, HFW's debut might demonstrate how Sony plans to treat first-party exclusives moving forward. Narratively, the game delivers the goods as well, building nicely upon its predecessor's groundwork. Horizon Forbidden West has a massive and lavish open-world, fine-tuned combat, and epic enemy designs, particularly for the robotic dinosaurs. In search of a way to save GAIA, Aloy heads west in pursuit of Sylens and becomes embroiled in a conflict between two tribes. The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn is bigger and, arguably, better. As entertaining as those titles are, Horizon Forbidden West was undoubtedly the month's standout game. Resident Evil 7, Scarlet Nexus, Outriders, and The Forgotten City are not only good games in their own right, but they also cover a wide range of genres and gameplay styles. The PS Plus Extra lineup for February 21, 2023, had its share of big names, and quite a few of these new additions to the tier came with native PS5 versions.
